The book is very focused on buying a house (given the author's occupation as a mortgage broker) and the US school system so I feel it would be more appropriate for families considering moving to the US. The section titled "Renting & Buying a House" contained no further mention about how to go about renting a property. Disappointed with the visa info - it was more a guide to what is available if you were thinking about moving to the US, rather than which would be best for you if you know you are going there. Section on student visas missed a lot of important information, such as the potential to apply for permission to work while on a J-2 visa. Equally disappointed with the lack of health care information, I know the system is under going a lot of change, but I was hoping for some basic info about what insurance generally covers, what do you do if you need to see a GP for routine appointment, is this covered by insurance, or are the costs typically on top of insurance premiums. On the plus side it is well written, easy to read and quite funny in parts.
