I bought this book (two CDs got lost in the post) because I wanted to know what happened to the characters in Scarlet Feather. I had tapes of Kate Binchy reading SF and she was so brilliant, she brought everyone to life. Quentins is mainly about a girl called Ella and also about Brenda Brennan and her husband, so I was reading it fast just to get to the bits about Kathy, Tom and the twins. I would say it is an average read, as the stories about the restaurant customers were not that exciting. I enjoyed Scarlet Feather much better, even though it has taken me several decades to become a Maeve Binchy reader.
