Don't understand - why so happy it was region free+ You certainly didn't order it not knowing if you could play it?

(All off-brand DVD players will play all regions anyhow and they can be gotten for 20-30£)

Because I can only play other region dvd's on my computer!
Using my Xbox 360 to play dvd's on my TV.

I really didn't think that I needed to go into the in's and out's of this bit of information in my previous review..........until you come along.

Hope this helps you.

Are you autistic by chance?

All the best.

I can't see how autism has any relation to DVD formats and regions - but anything is possible. Maybe the xbox has a problem in that respect. Anyhow it's too bad you haven't picked up one of the all-region DVD players - then you won't have to count on your computer for DVDs that don't surprise you :-)

Trust me! Autism can relate to DVD formats and regions just as much as it can relate to the pause button on a T.V remote or those little red and green house's/hotels on Monopoly boards.

Anyway we digress.....

Do you like Car 54 where are you? I do and I was over the moon when I found that my copy was region free!

I am very easily pleased.

I must admit l might treat myself to a 2011 CODEFREE LG BD630 Blu Ray Zone A+B+C / DVD Region 012345678 PAL/NTSC All Zone Multi Region Code Free DVD BLU RAY Player.

Then I'll have all base's covered!

What say you?

As a born-in-the-Bronxite - but now living thousands and thousands of miles away - it's good for some blasts of nostalgia.

Be careful with your LG - LG is a signatory of the DVD Forum's scam of 'only one region' player. So you will be dependent on a hack which may or may not work. Better to buy a cheap 'off brand' which is all region out of the box.

In any case Blu-Ray is never (at this point) 'region free' - if you get to an all region free situation - it will still not let you play Blu-Ray 'all region' - the world is still waiting for that hack.
