After loving Pump It Up: The Ultimate Dance Workout, I was disappointed with Beach Body. The location (a beach) is nice. However, Beach Body has fairly simply moves, and it certainly doesn't make you sweat and puff- thus, not a very good cardio workout. The music is also not quite as good as Ultimate Dance Workout due to the mixing. The songs chosen are good, but the songs are often only briefly mixed in, so you don't get to really enjoy it. This also means that, because the moves are choreographed to fit the music, just as you start to get going with some intense moves on one song, the next song starts and you go back to slow moves. Hence, you never really get the chance to get your heart rate up.
The instructor is a bit silly, too concerned with being sexy- not to mention that she's actually wearing underwear (2 bras and 2 pairs of undies- top pair lacy). The lone guy also wants to act sexy- keep your eye out for a hilarious moment when he wipes the sweat from his brow in a very fake way, trying to be sexy!
The DVD does provide music videos as extras, which are good to do your own, more intense, workout to after completing the DVD.
Overall, the DVD is not unenjoyable, but I found it didn't provide a good workout. You certainly won't get bodies like the dancers just by doing this DVD. Stick to Pump It Up: The Ultimate Dance Workout.
