Customer Review

on 20 October 2000
venus duras, in london for the crystal palace exposition, meets jack, marquis redvers (who writes the blurb on the back of the book in the form of a letter). initially she holds him off because of his reputation (I wish she'd held out just a bit longer), but inevitably the get together and spend most of the book trying to go to bed and avoid marriage / unwanted suitors. ...this isn't as good as the other duras books and definitly not my favourite (needs a bit more plot), but an entertaining, if not compelling, read. bit more plot next time please.
