I wasn't expecting a lot from this album as I thought the best years of Level 42 were long gone, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. I thought maybe that this album might sound dated and lacking in imagination. Not so! Quite the opposite in fact, especially the first half of it. It still sounds distinctively Level 42 but the production has been brought up to date. As always with Level 42 and Mark King, there is some great playing on show and some well crafted songs.
