Hello i went to see the chilis on sunday june 20th. The two reviews ive read claiming there was no crowd interaction and the set was too short were obviously too busy drinking to actually pay attention to the amazing set they played. Admitedly it was mostly off the two new albums, some what a dissapointement as i was hoping for an overall chilis performance encompassing the eight albums they have made, each as diverse and spectacular as each other. However i knew the likely hood of this was low and was amazed by what they did play especially Frusciantes covers. Crowd interaction was high, kiedis commenting on several members of the crowd, they also had a joke around before wrapping it up wid a spectacular performance of give it away. the sound was clear and the use of the t.v's was inspired thinking. Overall i believe evryone there enjoyed the atmosphere. The claim of the bars being non existent is true but a large percentage of the crowd did not seem bothered and when i qued for the bar it took no more than 5 minutes to be served. The cd's here have the majority of the sunday performance on, filled with other vital components including flea's (from what i hear from friends) astonishing trumpet solo, played on the 19th. They also graced us with new songs, that had never been heard before as well as fortune faded. The Chilis informed the crowd they'd be playing a new song on each of their uk dates and the one played on the sunday harks back to the blood sugar/californication style. If you were there on any of the three dates especially sunday the 20th buy this cd. If you were not buy it to see what you missed out on, allowing you to go see them for the release of their new album. This is the first Ever chilis live album and is a worthy purchase. Taking into account their age especially chads the stage performance was immense.
