I had high hopes....but this one wasn't for me!!,
This review is from: New U Fitness Yoga and Pilates (Wii) (Video Game)
I am a big pilates fan but find it hard to motivate myself for classes - I thought the ideal solution would be the ability to do it at home. I've recently rediscovered how much fun working out with the Wii can be and thought this would be the ideal addition to my collection.
You set yourself up and can choose which trainer you have which is good as some of them have a very annoying voice. You can chose the location which consists of a lot of pretty background scenes. You can set your target, whether you want to work on your belly, overall fitness, flexibility etc etc.
Then you get to do your workout. You are talked through each pose but I found even though I was doing them as the woman on the screen I was being told I wasn't which was frustrating. Didn't feel like I got the same workout I used to get from my lunchtime pilates classes. I did my second class, which was identical to the first one. The same routines, in the same order. I thought maybe the first ones get you used to the routine - no such luck, 3rd and 4th time I was being presented with the exact same routine. This doesn't work for me, I need change and different activities to keep me interested.
After two weeks I returned this game to the shop. I find I get more from Wii Fit Plus and EA Sports Active!!!
