I was a little disappointed in this book. A genealogical mystery set in the beauty of Cornwall sounded like an excellent premise for a book. Unfortunately there was far too much going on at such a silly pace it was incredibly difficult to care for any of the characters. I could not for the life of me figure out why the characters were doing the things they were (without spoiling the plot). The ancestor who kills for a box he doesn't even know why it's important? Give over! It's a shame. I really enoyed the flash back to the past, but felt the author missed a trick in really capturing the way of life and beauty of Cornwall in these sections. I kept on reading to the end, hoping I would find a very good reason why all these people were running around Cornwall for a box, with several either dying or being in mortal danger along the way. I didn't!
