I've managed to write a longer review of this, but really it's just a matter of fuzzed out guitar, primal drums and thick bass blasting out banger after banger of raw, fuzzed out punk'n'roll with Eric screaming and howling wild words over the racket (with the exception of country number "Bolan's Crash" I guess). They've got better lyrics and musical chops than your average garage punk band, and Eric is an electrifying frontman - check those screams and howls on "Defiled" and "Snap Decision" in particular. "Defiled" also shows they have bigger ideas than most: a crushing mid-tempo riff, a chilling vocal performance, crackling tension, and freeform jazz! And it even works, both swaggering and terrifying. Unlike some punk these days it's really, really exciting to listen to: I can't even write about them without getting excited! Woo! YEAH!
