Storming debut single from the much-hyped Strokes,

Well, here it is. The music media furore surronding this manhattan-based lineup has been building up for a while, and in their debut single, The Strokes do not dissapoint.
Their brash style initially sounds underproduced and raw, but by the end of the first listen to 'Last Nite,' it is clear that this is not a weakness of the record, but a strength. The song is simple, well-written and energetically executed, and serves as a promising flagship for their first album, and for a resurgence of no nonsence rock and roll.
With infectious vocals, pared-down guitar riffs and an amusing performance video directed by Francis Ford Coppola's son to boot, The Strokes' first release in the UK is the most refreshing aural experience you're likely to hear until, well...the next Strokes single. Enjoy!
