This review is from: I, Davros 1 - Innocence (Doctor Who S.) (Audio CD)
Part one of a new four part audio series charting the early life of Davros before his creation of the Daleks, 'Innocence' focuses on Davros' family, and in particular the ruthless political machinations of his mother Lady Calcula. The play focuses more on character than on science fiction concepts, but while the plot occasionally seems a little languid ultimately a strong theme concerning the relationship between children and parents emerges, both with Davros and his tutor Magrantine. While not brilliant this is still a good strong start to this series, just be aware that due to Davros being played as a young man Terry Molloy is virtually absent in this installment.
