Too Good A Deal to Miss,
This review is from: Lexmark CS510de - laser/LED printers (Microsoft XPS, PCL 5c, PCL 6, PDF 1.7, PostScript 3, PPDS, Ethernet, USB 2.0, 1200 x 1200 DPI, 16 - 32 °C, A4, Laser) (Personal Computers)
I have used an Epson Photo printer for many years but after yet another session de-clogging the ink jets I decided that a laser printer might be the way ahead. This offer was just too good to ignore. For £230, I have now got a colour printer with a RRP of £639. To just buy the toner alone would have cost me over £400. There must be a catch: if there is, I can't find one. The printer itself was a breeze to set up with an ethernet LAN connection with the latest firmware from the Lexmark site. Printing quality and speeds are exceptional. If I do no more than print the anticipated 6000 page capacity in black and then throw the printer way, the cost per page will be less than 4p. The only downside that I have found so far is that ICC profiles with colour turned off in printer do not quite give the result that I was expecting. Information on colour matching is somewhat lacking and, as I was expecting, colour prints lack the depth of colour that one can get from a good inkjet. Finally, I should also comment on the service from Amazon's partner - Printerland. I placed an order on a Sunday evening and the printer arrived in a timed slot on the following Tuesday.
