Customer Review

3 June 2013
A beautiful modern day Canterbury Tales following pilgrims through the joys and hardships of walking the Camino. As the story progresses we discover details of some of the very different characters' personal lives that have driven them to walk the ancient pilgrimage route, and watch as their paths become increasingly interwoven along their journey. The book makes you want to walk the Camino, which seems to fulfil the almost primordial need of the characters to make sense of, and search for meaning in their lives. The intensity of the experience of walking the Camino is conveyed really well and you're left with a sense of the lasting impact it must have on anyone who walks it.
