Interesting perspective of Broadmoor,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
When read as an extended report or essay, this book seems easier to contemplate. A series of case studies look at Broadmoor during the Victorian age and offer an insight into crime and mental health issues during that time.
The author seems keen to put over a very positive view of Broadmoor at the time of opening and after, and while I was heartened in the short term, on completion of the book I had to remind myself that the information used to write the book was from Broadmoor's own records, and therefore would, of course, cast a positive light on their own facility.
The text itself requires work but I still feel it is worth a read for those parties who find the subject interesting, as I did.
