Great soundtrack, poor physical product,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Iron Sky - The Original Film Soundtrack (Audio CD)
The soundtrack itself is wonderful, simply put. By using dialogue clips from the film itself, it successfully recreates the quirky atmosphere of the film whilst of course still giving the music the necessary space it so deserves. What lets down this package however, is the packaging. While the pressing of the CD is fine - although the splitting of the tracks is slightly off, something that luckily (or unfortunately) won't be obvious until you rip the CD to your computer - the physical cover feels extremely cheap and it's actually remarkably difficult to even get the CD out of, let alone in to, the tight cardboard container. The packaging really is much closer to a home demo CD than to a purchased one from a signed band (on Mute, no less).
As the soundtrack is only available as either this physical CD or the lower quality MP3 and AAC versions available at Amazon and iTunes respectively, you are still best off with this 16bit 44.1 KHz rendition, though it's a shame it won't look or feel good as a physical item in your collection.

This review is related to the CD, not the LP, which is a different product with added music and obviously different packaging

Indeed; hence the text "This review is from: Iron Sky - The Original Film Soundtrack (Audio CD)" and/or "Format:Audio CD".
