fascinating subject - poor delivery,
This review is from: Elizabeth's London: Everyday Life in Elizabethan London (Audio CD)
I have previously read the book of Elizabeth's London and enjoyed it immensely. I particularly like listening to audio books so invested in this. Unfortunately the book is destroyed by the appalling narration - for some mystifying reason the publishers have selected Ms Picard to read her own work instead of selecting one of dozens of excellent readers. Her delivery is peculiarly hesitant and tediously slow. I had to give up halfway through the second cd and abandon it, which is very disappointing and a huge waste of money. If the company ever have the book read properly I'll buy it again, which shows how good the book is. A great shame.

Mr. G. Morgan says:
Not a review of the book but the audio. Not M.D. Burke's fault but Amazon, get rid since a 1/5 skews the rating.
