Having bought a Pixma Pro 100 A3+ printer, this was the obvious choice of paper to use with it. You can use paper from any manufacturer as long as you have the correct profile but it is just simpler to stick with Canon paper.
Even in the Canon range, there are different grades to choose from. Since I have no intention to sell my prints, I could not justify the most expensive grades. I avoided glossy and matt papers and went for semi-gloss which, to my eye, gives a more forgiving finish.
A word of warning though, once you have seen your work at this size, there is no going back to A4.
