I bought this album on the strength of reviews above and have to confess I have had really difficulty reconciling the reviews to the content of the CD that ultimately flopped onto my doormat. For those of us who are a little long in the tooth (particularly for those who may have ever considered filing them to a point), listening to the album will create a queasy feeling of deja ecoute. Then suddenly it will dawn on you: the arch attempts to "shock"; the "rock" tones that keep slipping into a jolly (suitably medicated) psychobilly - why it's the Damned reborn! When it comes to clattering abrasive student-rock, these boys play Hammer Horror to Mclusky's Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Within 10 years they'll all be driving MPVs and their bassist will have had a novelty number one.
