This review is from: Manfrotto 797 Modopocket Tripod (Electronics)
I have recently been experimenting with HDR imaging and took a number of shots at the main rail terminus in Antwerp, Belgium. I didn't have a tripod with me and took a lot of shots hand-held (I have fairly steady hands!)but set my camera down on a ledge for stability. The shots I got were fine, but yes, I captured a large portion of the ledge as well.
This little device would have solved the problem (and other similar situations). I'm also now doing more street photography with my newly acquired Leica x1 (great camera by the way!) and will use this to set on surfaces to take the shots rather than walk around looking like a tourist, pointing my camera at all and sundry.
I also bought the heavier duty model for use with my DSLR, which again is a great little bit of kit.
Manfrotto products are never going to be the cheapest, but you definitely get what you pay for!
