Great Jacket Great Price,
This review is from: Killtec Janikowo Softshell Jacket with Removable Hood (Sports Apparel)
Just received this jacket this morning which came well packaged, in a box with a large bubble wrap and the actual jacket covered with plastic. First impression were good as the jacket did not have that bright glowing red color that you get with some of the North Face, Wolf's skin and various other jackets (which, personally I find a bit blurry on the eye). The black trim contrasting also gave the jacket a stylish feel and the seams and materials have a solid construction to them. The Killtech has the level 3 branding which give you all the main requirements, as in Windproof, Water resistant and Breathable. The material feels great and gave the impression of being strong and hard wearing yet comfortable. I was not wearing a top when I tried this on for the first time and it felt really comfortable despite this. The jacket has plenty of storage space with two side pockets and a breast pocket, but also a handy pocket around the left wrist area for your lift pass. Would have liked to have seen another for the right wrist, unless the sensors are always on your left. I was a little worried at first that the detachable hood was only secured by Velcro, however those fears were allayed when fastening poppers wear discovered under a cuff on the front collar of the jacket. On the inside is a breast pocket and two mesh pockets. The jacket also has a detachable waistband. The arms also come with a glove/gator feature similar to those found on Superdry jackets. Only a couple of minor grips really. This jacket shares a same sort of problem of other jackets of a smaller main zipper. I this these should be made slightly larger than other zips on the jacket for ease of opening and closing. Also on the fore-mentioned glove/gator design I would like to see something more similar to that of the already mentioned Superdry having a cotton ribbed design, which feels more solid, although I could be wrong as the one on this jacket seems to made of Lycra, so we will have to see how it stands up to the test of time. Only thing left to do is test it on the slopes. Overall this appears to be a great jacket at a great price and therefore after my latest trip it may well be deserving of a five.
