Really not worth the wait,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Let's start with the campaign - at first the storyline is interesting, almost engaging, until you get to the flashback mission and everything becomes obvious. The missions are really frustrating with the question "what the hell do you want me to do" being thrown out in various iterations, there is actually only one bit of a mission that is enjoyable, then that becomes annoying too. The best bit of the campaign is the cut scenes which are beautifully rendered. Oh and don't forget the standard primer for Ghosts II right at the end. I simply cannot envisage playing the campaign again.
Now to the multiplayer, the point of COD - the maps can be huge, and multi-leveled (including a glitch "under the map") - this makes for awful gameplay as quick scoping SOB's can hold an area easily. The size and complexity means there are multiple ways in and out of any one location, consequently your survival, or not, just comes down to luck. Bad spawning is still inherent, and camping is encouraged. The guard dogs are way too powerful, whilst some other rewards seem worthless. In MW3 there was a progression, level up and get different gear and perks - the squad points system lets you unlock gear, perks, rewards the lot very quickly. The only stuff not unlocked by squad points are uniforms etc, these take mega number of multiplayer acheivements to unlock, great you think, but it's only a uniform.
Squads is new, either play co-op against the AI, or against another players squad. Recruit is laughably easy, Regular nicely tough, Hardened you get shot through walls without being seen by the shooter - but other than levelling up and earning squad points - nothing else counts.
I don't like the multiplayer at all, it's just frustrating with no sense of enjoyment. If I play COD ghosts again it will be a miracle.
