Customer Review

on 5 April 2003
I purchased this book to aid me in my dissertation at univeristy. I had a lot of experience in ASP 3.0, but none in ASP.NET, and I needed to do a fair few complex things, and fast. This book gave me a great help all the way through my development, with some really useful examples that go beyond the basic's of ASP.NET. It is written to compliment integrating SQL Server heavily, and as such is an ideal book for anyone wishing to develop web app's using this database. I bought a SAMS Teach Yourself ASP.NET in 21 days at around the same time, and havent bothered with it all that much as this is far more readable and advanced. It covers basic material along with intermediate code utilsing the System.Security.Cryptography namespaces for example. If your going to buy 1 ASP.NET book buy this one.
