The importance of this film from 1957 is well documented but the standard of this restoration is wonderful and shows why it changed the structure of Terror movies. The print is gorgeous and for the first time in many years, the soundtrack is not 'warped'. It is amazing to consider how cheaply 'Curse' was made and the effect it had on British cinema both here and abroad. The newly made documentary is too short but intriguing particularly Melvyn Hayes comments about working closely with Peter Cushing. The recent Hammer releases have been stunning; this one will not disappoint!
