a rip off for the fans,
This review is from: The Future Is Medieval (Audio CD)
like a lot of kaiser fans, i downloaded all 20 tracks on offer from them online at a cost of £15
within a couple of weeks they have released the official cd containing one extra track that wasnt available online. and guess what? its not available as a track on the amazon mp3 download option. so i am expected to fork out again to buy the cd? Not much thanks or consideration for fans who shelled out on the 20 original tracks. To add insult to injury there are a further 2 tracks on offer on the itunes set..............and NO , the itunes set does NOT offer the extra track featured on the actual cd !!! Seems pretty cynical all round. Pity the kaisers didnt offer these 3 extra tracks as a free download to fans who paid for the dowmloads ..............i did mail their site pointing this out, but no reply as yet. Disappointed with this treatment.

All well and good but what is the album like as a listening experience?

reviews need not just be about the music content. mine is clearly a 'protest' at the bands cynical tratment of fans.......
if i didnt like the music , i wouldnt be buying the downloads or trying to get the extra tracks........................

"one star - a rip off for the fans"
If I hadn't read your rant then I would have assumed that this latest Kaiser Chiefs album is poor and I wouldn't bother buying. As it is, I'll wait for a proper review of the album before deciding.

This is an amazing CD.. 'John Morrall' is wrong to give it 1 star.
Artists are doing it a lot now by bringing out 'Uncut' versions of albums with extra tracks. Be thankful that the extra ones are GREAT and are worth the extra money!

I too have downloaded all 22 tracks, but can't download kinda girl you are. I want it but do not want to buy the whole cd just to get one song. I think all the songs are great, but how come we can get 12 tracks from Amazon for £3.99 yet have to pay £7.50 for just 10 tracks on the personalised album on the website?

But they havent!! You're getting music for all the money you're spending!!
Theres like 25 songs that they've released, and if you're spending £25 on all of their music, thats £1 for each song.. Thats like the same as iTunes! Think about it before accusing them of stuff...!!!

i think you missed the point. the only way you can get 'kinda girl you are' is by buying the physical cd release. its not even included in the amazon mp3 download version, or on the itunes version. ive bought the 2 extra itunes tracks, but not prepared to pay again for the cd when i already paid for 12 of the 13 tracks off thir site. that would be £7.93 for the one song.

No worries. If you want that extra track just wait a few months until there are over a hundred copies of this CD listed for just 1p, as happenned with all their previous albums.

I'm sure you are right monkey man, but I'm addicted to Kaiser Chief music, so I have just ordered the CD from Amazon.
My excuse for getting the CD for just the one track that I do not have, is I will play the CD in the car!
