Customer Review

on 1 November 2003
Why aren't Iced Earth given the credit they deserve ? Another masterpiece combining terrific riffs laid over a blistering rhythm section. The sound falls between Iron Maiden and Metallica but any other comparisons are irrelevant. This is the sort of metal that appeals to me (a life-long Sabbath/Priest/Maiden fan) but I can see fans of death and black metal also enjoying this as Matt Barlow's range is extraordinary and the pace of the songs (and sections of songs!) varies widely. This album is a good starting point to catch up with this fantastic band.
