As a first time reader on Spirituality it was BRILLANT!,
This review is from: The Celestine Prophecy (Paperback)
I am not an avid reader of books on spirituality and often find them too far fected to follow.. Then a friend of mine suggested I read 'The Celestine Prophecy' so I started it, thinking that I would become bored and discard it...however, it is the first book on spirituality that I have truely connected with and understood.
Although it cannot be taken literaly as a true story (especially at the end in the 9th insight) the way James Redfield uses an adventure story to explain his ideas is fantastic.
It means that anyone can easily follow the book and is kept interested in the plot at the same time as learning about Spirituality. I had previously tried to read books such as 'The art of happiness'but got no further than the 2 chapter due to being bored. I could not put 'The Celestine Prophecy'down.
If you are an avid reader of spirituality books, then you will more than likely find this book weak and fairy-taleish. However, if you are interested in reading a great adventure book with questions that will make you look at so many different angles of your own life and to get a basic understanding of personal engery and spirituality, then this is the book for you!
