1.0 out of 5 stars No Jack, 16 Nov. 2013
This review is from: LG 32LN5400 32-inch Widescreen 1080p Full HD LED TV with Freeview, Intelligent Sensor and HDMI Connectivity (discontinued by manufacturer) (Electronics)
Yes,good tv,but incredibly(in 2013)without jack port.
How can a firm this big make a tv without the headphone connection?
For me this is a big no no,because I watch telly at night and I don't want disturb other people.
Now,I've got a television I cannot watch when I wont.
Very disappointing, also because not very cheap to buy(for me).
I've tried a few different ways to overcome the problem but with no success.
Shame on you,LG.

To be fair you should have checked the output specs of the tv on the lg website, however a solution to your problem could be to buy a digital audio to analogue converter, you can pick them up at around £20-£30.
Just make sure it has a 3.5mm jack socket output and it actually is digital-analogue not analogue-digital
You will also require either a coaxial or optical cable and a spare plug socket near your tv

Hope this helps

Hi Mr.Thomas,
Thanks for your reply.

True,I should have checked first, but it never passed in my mind that in 2013 there could be televisions without headphones socket.
Not even the cheapest brands make them without.

Anyway,I've already tried what you suggest but without great results.
You have to use a corded headphone(so you aren't free to move) and it must have the volume in line, because you have to keep the television's volume at zero.

And,of course, the quality of the sound you obtain in this way,is terrible.

Was it so hard to make this telly with the proper socket?
I think it's a real shame.

Thanks anyway.

Best regards.

1 out of 5 because you couldn't be bothered to see whether or not the TV had a headphone jack before you ordered it?

Clearly having a headphone jack is an important thing for you, so why on earth would you make an assumption like that?

Important things to me are: Picture quality, what the TV looks like, brand quality, sound quality & inputs (in that order).

You haven't contributed anything that would alter my opinion of this TV with your pointless and biased review.

Jeff K. says:
Have to agree that rating something down because it hasn't a headphone socket, the listing doesn't mention any socket, is poor, even your decision to rate one star is a terrible

I'm sure though that the average consumer will see your review as irrelevant and make a decision based on what the TV offers, not what it never claims to do

Enough said !!! - ever thought of buying a house that has no roof, and then pondering the problem that the rooms upstairs are always wet? Always advisable to check any specification before purchase, only a thought !!

A more accurate analogy is buying a two bedroom house and complaining that the third bedroom isn't big enough :)

WOW!!!
How many comedians in this place.
Nothing better to do?
BTW,none of you is very funny.
Is this an example of British humour?
Bad,really bad.

"BTW, none of you is very funny" - should read, none of you are very funny
"Is this an example of British humour"- not at all, just stating the obvious facts.
Kind Regards.

"Yes, good TV" One Star? You rated a product down because you didn't read the spec sheet. I give your review a 1 star.
