I am a number one fan of Stephen King and every time a new novel comes out, I buy it. As usual: after reading a few pages I was totaly commited, but this time something was missing... First of all: I'm not a big fan of science fiction and so I was a bit sceptical. But King did a good job there. I just found this book not scarry at all, sometimes it was even humoristic. Which is something you do not really expect from a Stephen King novel. There were to many different kind of story styles going on in there: the aliens, the boys in the 60's and the chase at the end, which did not really fit together. In his latest work Bag of Bones and The Girl who Loved Tom Gordon were smashing and I will always love IT, but Dreamcatcher just was'nt my favourite book. Loved to read that Pennywise was still around though;) Now I just have to wait for BLACK HOUSE his next novel, which is related to The Talisman... In the end I'll say that it's a nice novel to read, but if you've never read a Stephen King novel before, don't read this one first.
