WARNING - THIS PRODUCT HAS A SERIOUS SAFETY DESIGN FLAW I bought a black and a stainless steel version of these kettles back in June 2015. I didn't start to use them until 6 months ago - black one first - within a couple of months the paint near the lid and spout started to peel. Not the greatest problem - this was just cosmetic - kettle looked a bit rough. NOW THE WARNING........... Two (2) weeks ago I started to use the stainless version of the kettle. I lifted a half full kettle of boiling water from the power supply base - the top of the handle broke away from the kettle body. Fortunately, I managed to dodge the boiling water that spilt from the kettle - it could have been very much worse. Two plastic 'rivets' were all that was holding the handle to the kettle body - both had broken. Note: Other reviewers have had this same problem. THIS IS A SAFETY DESIGN FLAW THAT COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS SCALDING INJURY OR ELECTROCUTION. Go elsewhere for your kettle - extremely disappointed with Russell Hobbs - I expected better.
