I use this with Macs, and my experience has been nothing but positive. Once connected, the Mac saw the device on the network and I was able to click on the link on the share to open the web brower interface. This is as simple, but easy to use interface that allows you to setup the device and create users and examine the state of drives. I suspect most people will not really use this much.
After a software update, it took seconds to configure Time Machine to perform backups to the Seagate Central.
Seagate also provide applications for iOS devices. These allow you to browse content on the Seagate Central and play/view it. The application is very simple, just offering a simple browsing interface, and works well. However, I did find it sometimes struggled to find the Seagate Central on the network. You can also use the application to browse your content remotely.
This is a good value Network Attached storage for Mac users who want something a little cheaper than Apple's offering.
