Want to lose weight? Then dont bother with this!,

The back of this book says "Sally Bee shows you dont have to give up your favourite sweets to maintain a healthy lifestyle or slimmer waistline." Therefore most people would assume from this line that this book is suitable for people trying to lose weight. However it is not.
It is only apparent when you open this book and read the introduction that it is in fact aimed at people who want to help maintain a healthy heart. Whilst I find this admirable and a great thing to help people with, I do find it misleading as I am sure that many people like me who want to lose weight will think that this book is aimed at them too.
The recipies all look delicious and the one my partner tried turned out beautifully, but whilst they do contain ingredients that are considered a healthier option they are usually forbidden when dieting! So please forget the sound bite on the back of the book that talks about "Slimmer Waistlines"!
Another thing I find concerning is the lack of a breakdown of the recipe nutritional content. Whether you want to maintain a healthy heart or aim for that slimmer waistline the book promises, you do need to know how many calories, fat, sodium etc are in each recipe and there is no mention of this at all.
Although I would certainly describe this book as a healthier alternative to normal cookbooks and whilst it also contains some fantastic recipes and simple ideas to make food less naughty, I do think that it should be clearer that this is not a diet book. Amazon along with some reviews have made it very clear in their description but if you were to purchase this from a book store then you would not have this information and would be easily misled. For that reason alone I have awarded 3 stars.
