A stunning album - regardless of genre.,

As with Simon, I've only heard the 8 track version. And I make no bones about it...I'm a Jim Moray apologist. But this IS a seriously good album. It's like Low Culture....only with extra "everything".
Bristol Harbour starts the album with a bang. Reminds me of Porcupine Tree (which thse who know me will realise is a great compliment)....especially the guitar solo. It's a brutal yet stunningly effective treatment of a trad song. But my favourite track so far is undoubtedly Hard. A beautiful melody, great sound, and excellent lyrics. There isn't a track on it where the quality dips for a second. The sound throughout is clear (Jim also produced and mixed). Heck even the artwork is wonderful (yes it's very "Factory").
This album confounds all expectations..... It doesn't matter whether you're a folkie or not. BUY IT.....NOW. Jim deserves to be heard by as many people as possible. A true talent.
