Fine acting - Heavily cut episodes,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Foyle's War - Series 7 [DVD] (DVD)
Michael Kitchen is outstanding as Christopher Foyle. The writing is tight and crisp. The problem with this series is not in the writing and definitely not in the acting. Each of these episodes is missing approximately 15 minutes of footage. Foyle's War typically runs at 101 minutes per episode and these weigh in at about 86 minutes. Obviously they are cut for television. It is a shame that they issued these as complete and uncut when they most certainly are not. Buyer beware. Had I known this, I would not have purchased this set. They are a rip off.

Mr. R. Thompson says:
They arent cut. The 101 time you mention is the previous standard programme length for a 2 hr ITV timeslot. However, ITV have since been allowed to increase the advertising time, and so the standard length of programming for a two hour slot is between 89 and 86. NOTHING has been cut at all! Please enjoy these fabulous episodes of television!
