I enjoyed this book - and I am not a great reader of dystopian/futurist/imaginary world books. Ken Ashman creates a believable environment and characters you engage with. More important is the pitiless unraveling of the plot: horror that is revealed artfully. I particularly enjoyed the way the narrative is placed in a setting that is credible, eerie, and with just enough fingertip contact with a world that we recognise.
