Customer Review

on 15 April 2001
I liked this adaptation much better than the recent film release with Frances O'Connor. It's more accurate, sticks closely to the events of the book, and Sylvestra Le Touzel's Fanny is more believable as the meek heroine of Jane Austen's story. Don't waste your money on the film, which is ridiculously PC and so hacked about as to be unrecognisable. If you want the spirit of Jane Austen, you need look no further than this version.
