This laptop is incredible for the money. I feel like I could be holding something much, much more expensive, yet this is fantastically priced at only £250 which is an absolute bargain (particularly given there don't seem to be any 13" laptops out there that don't burn a hole in your wallet)
The design of the laptop is stunning - on the front of laptop (the lid) you have three lights that light up when you are powered on (and they turn off when you close the lid) . Cleverly, the lid has a glossy finish but the bezel, monitor and interior have a matte finish which stops fingerprints, glare and generally feels much nicer. The keyboard is an absolute joy to use with its perfectly sized, raised keys that give that macbook impression. Unfortunatley, the touch pad has to be the worst I have used in a long time, that said its not terrible, its just that it can be very difficult to pinpoint things. If you are fussy about touchpads then think carefully before buying this. However it should be noted that you can always use a USB or bluetooth mouse.
Onto specs now - the laptops performance is very good on both OS's I have tried (Ubuntu and win Xp) . There isn't much to say about it, its just a bit better than what you would expect from a laptop/netbook this price I would say. The display is a very good resolution of 1280x800, and it is bright, colourful, and generally fantastic to view. this You have built in Wifi which you would expect, and also built in bluetooth which is probably quite a bonus. There are two USB ports and also a mini HDMI port which is quite slick.
Being a high school student, I bought this laptop hoping for something that would do what it said on the tin, and not have to worry about carrying something super expensive about.
What can I say... it does all this and more. Apart from the slightly flawed touchpad I can't fault this laptop for the money, so if it's sounding good for you, go ahead and get it now!
