The Sentimental Lover,
This review is from: The Naive and Sentimental Lover (Paperback)
The delivery was good but unfortunately this must be the worst book that John Le Carre has wrote. He needs to stick to what he knows best "espionage".
I read the book to halfway through and gave up. Very disappointing.

T. Bennett says:
I am just finishing off the reading of John Le Carre's complete collection. I would find it difficult to choose a favourite, as I thoroughly enjoyed all of them, with the exception of this one. I found it really hard work, and whilst I persevered and finished it, I was glad to have done so. I thought all the main characters were irritatating and irresponsible, and I couldn't relate to any of them. I found it difficult to believe le Carre had written it. It seemed like a cuckoo author had written it and impersonated le Carre!
