Thomas' recent reissues have notably excluded most 12" versions (bar Dissidents Part 1, as he approves of the dramatic restructure). It was the artist's choice, as he rightly points out a lot of his earlier 12" were extended re-edits essentially. However "Flying North" and "Windpower" are good examples of the craft, both Mr Dolby's and those of cut'n'paste (rather than a full-blown remix). There are some classics here, but also a few low points as later material from "Buick" was not his strongest (although I really like what Mr Kevorkian did to "Airhead").
Maybe the label will persuade him to have these remastered one day, but for now here the sound is pretty good throughout, and it's a different way to enjoy Mr Dolby!
