You really don't need one this powerful,

Ok, I wanted a laser pointer to point at my screen as I hate finger marks on screens, it's a huge bug bear with me, to be honest it drives me mad, I have offered to snap the fingers off of people who touch my screen at work.
So I shopped around for a laser, and like many bigger is better, not for this application, this is a powerful laser with a strong beam. The glare off the screen hurts my eyes, it's too much for that, if the screen had melted in front of me I would not have been either shocked or disappointed it's that powerful.
I am not surprised people use it for pointing at the sky, to be honest I would not be surprised if I couldn't write on the moon with this thing!
There are lasers for pointing at the sky and other applications, and ones for pointing at screens, this is very much in the former category and not in the latter. So be careful in your choice of weapon as it were. My eldest daughter lit up like the laser when she saw it, and she'll be having it to do "stuff" with at school.
It's very good for the cats, although I am a little worried it's a tad too powerful for them and I am worried about blinding them. Turn the lights out when it's dark, stir up a little dust and the beam looks really cool, but beware glare if you it anything glossy.
One slight issue I had was the lack of a couple of batteries in the box, there was space for them, and normally these days you get the batteries, but that is a minor quibble,
