Customer Review

on 17 June 2009
I saw Alastair speak to a group of children in a primary school on behalf of the SUSTRANS Bike It campaign. He was there to inspire children, teachers and parents to bike to school every day. For every bike journey a kid took the school earned miles in a virtual round the world bike journey (matching the journey that Alastair in real like has cycled). I was so inspired by his talk that I bought Ten Lessons From the Road which is a great inspiration to all of us to go out and follow our dreams whatever they may be. I am now reading Moods of Future Joys which is his account of cycling around the world - well in this one from Yorkshire to Cape Town in Thunder & Sunshine he tells about going from Cape Town through the Americas back to Yorkshire. He is a great writer, entertaining, engaging and above all awe inspiring.
