Not the standard NTSC format,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: High Road to China [DVD] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] (DVD)
Reading reviews about sound problems opt for an NTSC version. An obvious fault with the disc.
some of my players will not play this disc. All my families dvd players and recorders are bought from Multi Region Magic Pettersborough UK. So all their players and recorders will play regions 1-6 as standard. Not talking about Bluray.
Some of my machines will not play this disc, tells me TV not compatable.
On the disc jacket it does not mention NTSC but it does say, region 1. These discs are as it seems to be manufactured outside of the United States, somewhere in Europe but not United Kingdom.
By puting this DVD in desporation as not to waste my money, through the Laptop, it sorted out every thing for me.
I have since bought another version with two thirds foreign writing on the jacket, which is region 2, plays ok for me.
I am going to raise this problem with Multi Region Magic, only as a point of interest.
So my advice, if you are in a region 2 country, opt for the Australian version, to be safe.
Unless you can sort out the problem yourself through a pc or laptop.
Bottom line, this is not a true NTSC version.
