Still knows how to entertain,
This review is from: Alice Cooper: Theatre of Death: Live at Hammersmith 2009 [Blu-ray] [Region Free] (Blu-ray)
The legend is around 62, and boy does he still know how to entertain. There was a particular review saying he should hang up his boots. Not a chance. With his anticipated welcome 2 my nightmare coming next year, he is far from done and I would still prefer to watch this master at work than many of the current modern bands around.
As for the concert, the theatrics were very entertaining with his many deaths, realism and setlist. If im honest his vocals were better on the Montreux blu ray, but he is still going strong.
When I first started watching this blu-ray I thought the picture quality was going to be very sub par, but they use so much smoke at the opening songs that it really dulls the blu ray quality. As this clears, the picture increases alot, so its one that you have to bare with. If they had the musical strength of montreux and the theatrics of TOD, the concert would have been perfect, but it is still a great performance from an outstanding artist.
Congrats are also due for his induction to the hall of fame, well deserved
