5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic product, Great sound quality, 6 July 2014
This review is from: HyperX Cloud Gaming Headset for PC/PS4/Mac/Mobile - Black (Personal Computers)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
These headphones are really comfortable to wear and the sound quality is very very good, I tweaked the bass in my sound card software and the bass and high ranges were perfect. In fact I can hear things in game with the headphones that I cannot with the speakers. They do a decent enough job reducing noise from the outside, but bear in mind they are passive (noise reduction) rather than active (powered noise cancelling) so if you turn the volume down you are going to hear the external noise, I find this a good thing as you don’t then have to take the headset off.

If I compare these to some other headsets I have tested like the Sennheiser G4ME ZERO (which cost significantly more than these) I am so much more impressed with the quality. Both sets are very comfortable and of a high quality build. OK, the Sennheiser's suppress sound a bit better (not by much) but they lack the sound quality. Both mic’s are of near identical sound quality and yet these headphones cost a lot less. I would really recommend these over a lot of more expensive (and cheaper) headphones that I have tested as I feel that they have the best sound quality overall.

Due to the use of aluminium they just feel more robust than a lot of the others, which feel more plasticky. Also they have covered the head band with foam and leather which is a nice touch.

Hi Mr Riley. There's no need to be rude. If you don't agree with the thoughts I've shared in my review, that's fine, but please don't throw insults. You can't presume to know me by just reading a review on Amazon! I was fortunate enough to receive both the Sennheisers and these via the Amazon Vine programme, and have no bias either way. Just saying how I felt about them.

I have just tested these headphone on the same sound card :D Here is how I see it. The hyper x's do indeed sound better due to the headphone speakers being better. They are only a little less comfortable than the game zeros. However the game zero's have the better mic hands down. I care about the sound quality and as the game zeros lack any punch in the bass, mid or treble and I don't tend to use the mic to much then anyone else reading this overall hyper x's win. Sound quality hyper x's win . Comfort not much in it. Mic Game Zero's win hands down.
