Very Poor performance,
This review is from: Slimline Dishwasher (SRS45E48GB)
We had a Bosch slimline dishwasher for ages - worked really well. On that one's performance we just bought the up to date equivalent without reading any reviews etc.Big mistake! This new one is very poor and I'd advise a different make.
Washes badly - was OK to start with. But now we had it for a year or so we often have to wash a load twice.
Doesn't dry, all the crockery comes out actually wet. Generally after a program we now open the dishwasher pull out the trays and leave it open for half an hour so it all dries out before putting it away.
Controls - very poor, to change program you seem to have to switch the dishwasher off then on then select the program quickly. You can't seem to just change programs without switching on and off!
Blockages - within a month of installation it packed up. There was a blockage (OK, possibly our fault) but the blockage was inaccessible to a home user. (It took the technician 3 attempts to find it.) Bosch wanted to charge £80 to fix as they maintain user error - huge argument followed and the (very nice) engineer managed to find another problem to fix which negated the charge.
We also had a long conversation re the machine and my interpretation of it is that it appears that these new ones have been designed to use so little water and energy that they don't actually work. He said our previous one would cope with just about anything these won't. His advice (with an enigmatic expression) was basically to pretty much wash everything before it went in.
