Customer Review

Romeo: I really like this tune, I don't know why, its quite an unconventional sort of dance music, yet its really funky. It needs to be played loud with added bass for the thump factor natch. Strangely the beat is only really a 4/4 kik with a snare, plus the occasional shaker. Yet it seems complete, and rather effective.
Breakaway:Another rather pulsey one, not completely thumpy, but its still body movin'. It's a bit stop and start, and the beat never really picks up, as I wanted it to... not much in the way of sounds.
SFM:At first this sounds really weird, the time sig is rather hard to define at first. Later I realised its in 4/4 swung time.. argh! This doesn't do it for me at all! I don't know why jaxx are trying to do all this R&B stuff, I much preferred it when they stuck to their housey stuff.
Kissalude;what a waste of a track... I thought this was going to be something, except its just an intro to the next track....
Jus 1 Kiss: This isn't actually that good... a bit daft punk if you ask me, you know very happy and uplifting... there's a sort of fun/party feel here, but for listening purposes it's a bit boring.
Broken Dreams: A sort of melancholy Spanish feel here... tango style trumpets. It's got a sort of tango beat, theres an awful saw wave lead here in the middle, ugh. Apart from that this another relaxed tune.
I Want U: WTF is this? Are they having a laugh? This is the most ridiculous 'happy' tune ever. With computer game pong style blips, a whiney sort of organ doing the exact tune as the singer, the accomp sounds a bit like a kiddies yammie keyboard. This sucks.
Get Me Off:This is more like it! Finally a decent track. This really is a thumping song, it's got a really dirty bassline that I love, with the seq; 1st, flattened 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Plus the dirty bassline, if you listen to the lyrics this is a really horny song, but its also real dirty/dark. The beat is great relief to the songs before, it picks up in the middle, this is really good stuff. The bassline explained before heard through out repeating that vital sequence. In this middle the song slows down, then the beat picks up and you're dancing. Bangin'.
Where's Your Head at?: This is an alright tune too, not quite as good as jump 'n shout, but similar. Another great one to play out loud. All the familiar techno sounds, portamento sirens, slow attack bass, big cheese saw waves etc.
freakalude Another wasted track.
Crazy Girl This isnt bad, i just dont like it. laid back tune, alot of hihats, and weird guitar bit.
Do your thing: Argh! *cringe* this is too happy by half! its turning poppy now! mummy make it stop! yes its quite funky, but the blues/swing happy stuff is really not my cup of tea.
All I know: Reggae! man, where did all the house tracks go? I dont dislike this style, but if i'd wanted reggae like stuff i would have bought some bob marley. The vocals are rather crass, unenthused. Verdict: Some very good tracks, but a bit to poppy. Theyve taken the fun party factor a bit too far in my opinion.
