So far, so good,
This review is from: For Pete's Sake: The Peter Taylor Story, Vol. 1: The Backstreets to the Baseball Ground (Hardcover)
A real behind the scenes look into a great era. This book tells you about the dirty end as well as the stuff we knew about.
It does make you feel like you get to know Peter Taylor, which, I imagine, given his nature, was not easy for outsiders. You also get to know what one or two directors were like.
I really enjoyed this book. It's so earthy and real. It explains how Clough and Taylor worked together but it's not a hagiography.
How they fell out must be really interesting. I do hope that is explained in volume two.
