Beautifully written: funny yet dark,

When she is accused of horse doping (would she ever?), and a certain member of the security police is hot on her trail, it seems like a good time for Claudia Seferius to go and check out some revolutionary vineyards in the Adriatic. Everything seems just perfect, until an ominous presence is noticed anchored in the bay. And then things begin to go wrong, seriously wrong. A sinister pattern seems to have emerged...
Once again, Todd has produced a brilliant piece of work. The suspense is built up to a magnificent climax at the end of the novel. Huge Marcus/Claudia progressions are made during this book, with some interesting insights into Marcus's past. Do not, however, for a moment think that we have heard the last from Marilyn Todd.
