Customer Review

on 8 May 2007
This novel (two thirds previously published in the Man Kzin Wars anthologies) tries to answer a number of Known Space - however none of those listed in the synopsis above are amongst them. Mysteries that ARE answered are the origin and purpose of the Ringworld, the reason the galactic core is exploding and why the Outsiders gave hyperdrive technology to the humans.

How canonical this is, I don't know, it may come clear with the forthcoming 'Fleet of Worlds' but it is a rollercoaster ride. It is a book for Known Space fans and probably won't mean much to the casual reader.
