The Kinks have to be one of my favourite bands of all time, and their influence that they've had throughout British music is immense. I sometimes wonder if they've kind of been sidelined though - some people associate them with their real poppy tunes like "You really got me". These are great and dominate this collection, however there are some great tunes here such as Death of a Clown which don't enter a lot of people's heads when they think of the Kinks. Above all else though, has to be "Waterloo Sunset" probably one of the best songs ever written - this just pushes their points up to four, but if you can, try and get a collection which contains "Autumn Almanc" and "Plasticman". Better still, check out "1 for the Road" - a blinding album worth it if only for "Lola" and "David Watts".
